Thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog! I hope you'll check back frequently to see my most recent images from all of my sessions, weddings and other random insights.
I don't want this to get too long, but one of the most common questions I am asked is about where I am based. The answer is definitely two-fold. I began my professional photography career in the D.C/Baltimore area in 2004 where I lived and schooled about an hour away in Shepherdstown, Wv. In December 2007, I graduated from Shepherd University with my BFA in Photography and Computer Digital Imaging. The second part of the answer is that my hometown is Charleston Wv (south/central wv). About 5 hours southwest of the DC/Baltimore area. I have always traveled back and forth between the two areas, but since I was in school, the majority of my time was spent there. Since I graduated, I have been traveling back and forth between the two areas a great deal more. I love both areas and absolutely love that I am able to travel so often back and forth doing what I love.
Thanks to Erin at http://www.erinleighphoto.com/ for the bio shot!
Kimberly and Mike’s wedding ceremony was a totally new experience for me. You might remember them from their engagement session. It was my first Russian Orthodox wedding. The Saint Nicholas Cathedral in DC is absolutely breathtaking and has the most amazing natural light inside that I have ever seen in a church.
Vendor shout outs: Meredith was fantastic to work with and I’d recommend DJ Erin to all of my brides
I posted some of these images a few posts ago, so forgive me if I double posted. The great thing about this day was we had a VERY gracious time line to work with so once we all made it to Leesburg, we got to spend as much time as we wanted shooting around town. Leesburg is one of my favorite old towns to shoot in because of all of the colors and textures and little nooks.
i spent this afternoon transfering over all of my wedding dates to a new calendar system. i was so fed up with my old method that i sought out something else since my website doesn’t have a calendar system integrated. i found these pretty neat calendars at http://phpjabbers.com/ . not terribly fancy, but perfect for what i wanted and exactly what i was looking for.
if you’re wondering, i didn’t take time to put in events prior to today.
it also does not show availability for engagement or other photo sessions or meetings.
i’m contemplating putting those items in, i just haven’t decided how to approach it yet due to my crazy traveling schedule

Just a few more shots of Kimberly and Mike from this past saturday before the long weekend. I’ll be ‘out of office’ until Tuesday morning, so if you’re expecting an email or trying to get ahold of me, know that I’m not ignoring you! Email will be the best way to get ahold of me since there is usually at least an hour or so of downtime in the evenings.
