Alex and Norah - Meadowlark Gardens May 15, 2009

Several months ago my good friend and colleague Julia MacInnis referred friends, Alex and Norah, to me so she and her husband could enjoy the wedding as guests .  It worked out perfectly because Julia shot with me that morning for a bit with the girls and then covered the guys (a crazy fun crew!) for the rest of the getting ready process.

The wedding and reception took place at the fabulous Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna Virginia. It is always a pleasure to shoot there.  And Norah and Alex were incredible! Beautiful and super fun = happy photographer!

the lovely Syleena

Syleena turned five at the end of March and we were finally able to squeeze in about an hour of photo time on Mothers Day. Growing up with a camera in her face has made her a little TOO comfortable with the camera as you can see from the first first image. I swear I don’t know where she gets it from!

Leslie & Nathan, 5/16/2009

Leslie and Nathan were married at Our Lady of Sorrows in Centreville, Md. Rain was forecast the whole day, but as soon as the ceremony began the sun peeked out and stayed out until everyone was inside after the fun photo session between the ceremony and reception. Couldn’t have asked for a better day!
