Entering into the wedding photography contest is EASY!
I need the following information sent to me in an email to mandi@photosbymandi.com with the subject line ‘vote for me!’
- Name (you AND your finace!)
- Wedding Date
- Wedding Venue (ceremony and reception) (city and state too!)
- Favorite photo of you and your fiance
- And most importantly, tell me how you met, your best-funniest-sweetest-romantic moment together, and why you think you should win free wedding photography.
Contest Timeline:
Submission Dates: October 1 – 25
Voting: October 30 – November 6
Winner Notified: November 13
*please do not send your entries until the submission dates, any early submissions will not be counted.
Are you already a PhotosbyMandi client? No worries! You can still enter the contest! If your entry get the most votes and you win, your retainer fee will be refunded and/or applied to any a la carte items I curently offer.
Are you 100% positive you want Photos by Mandi as your photographer but don’t want to risk losing your date before the contest results are reported? No problem – secure your wedding date by sending in a completed contract along with your retainer fee and you’re good to go! If you are chosen as the contest winner, your retainer fee will be refunded and/or applied to any a la carte items I currently offer.

the fine print
As much as I want everyone to have equal opportunity to enter the 2010 wedding photography contest, it is necessary to have some limitations regarding location and travel.
Destination weddings are not exempt from the contest, however the destination wedding fee is required. the destination wedding fee is $500.00 + transportation, room and board. For the purposes of this contest, a destination wedding location qualifies as any wedding which is more than a 6 hour drive from Charleston, Wv, even though it may not be a destination wedding for the bride and groom.
if the wedding is:
- 0-2 hours from Charleston, Wv – no additional fees
- 2-4 hours from Charleston, Wv – 1 night hotel and mileage
- 4-6 hours from Charleston, Wv – 2 nights hotel and mileage
- weddings more a 6 hour drive from Charleston, Wv will be required to pay the 500$ destination wedding fee as well as round-trip flight, 3 nights lodging, transportation (if not an all inclusive venue) as well as 2 meals a day.
